1977 · Getting Started in Real Estate
In 1977, Jerry Simpson took his first step into real estate, working part-time with Richards Realty while laying the foundation for what would become Simpson & Associates. Those early years set our values: work hard, take care of clients, and always do the right thing.
1985 · Simpson & Associates Is Founded
We opened our doors in Frankfort in 1985 when Ruth Richards retired from Richards Realty. Family pitched in from day one: Gail earned her real estate license, Greg supported marketing, and Brent built out accounting systems. The firm quickly earned a reputation for steady service, honest advice, and local expertise.
1992 · Joining CENTURY 21
In 1992 we affiliated with CENTURY 21, aligning our local roots with one of real estate’s most recognized brands. National tools plus deep local relationships let us serve clients even better—and our commitment to service began earning consistent Quality Service recognition.
2016 · Lexington Office Opens
To better serve Central Kentucky, we expanded beyond Frankfort and opened a Lexington office in 2016—bringing our team closer to clients across the Bluegrass while keeping the same personal, family-run approach.
2018 · CENTURY 21 Rebrands
CENTURY 21 updated its iconic “house” logo to a modern visual identity with the stylized “C21” mark and a refined color palette—sleek, simple, and built for today’s media.
2020 · Leadership Transition
In 2020, Brent Simpson stepped in as Broker, carrying forward the standards set by Jerry and our agents. The mission remains the same: earn trust, deliver results, and serve our communities well.
